Data Availability

IJES : Indonesian Journal of Environmental Sustainability supports transparent and reproducible research. Every article includes a Data Availability statement that tells readers where the data supporting the findings can be found.

What authors should do

  • Describe methods, instruments, models, and software (with versions) in enough detail for the study to be repeated.
  • Where possible, deposit the data, code, protocols, or supplementary material in a public repository (for example, a university repository, Zenodo, Figshare, or Mendeley Data) and cite it with its DOI or persistent link.
  • Where data cannot be shared, explain why (for example, personal data of respondents, the location of protected species, or third-party ownership) and state how qualified researchers may request access.

Example statements

Data in a repository

"The data supporting the findings of this study are openly available in [repository] at https://doi.org/[DOI]."

Data available on request

"The data are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request. They are not publicly available because they contain information that could compromise the privacy of the respondents."

All data in the article

"All data supporting the findings are included in the article and its supplementary material."

Protection of data

Sharing must respect research ethics, the protection of personal data, confidentiality, the rights of local and indigenous communities, and intellectual property. Exact locations of sensitive sites or threatened species may be generalised.
