Post-publication Discussion

Scientific discussion continues after publication. Lingkar welcomes well-founded comments, questions, and concerns about the articles it has published, and treats them as a contribution to the quality of the record.

How to Raise a Comment or Concern

Write to the editorial office using the address on the Contact page. Please give your name and affiliation, the article (title and DOI), the specific passage or data concerned, and the evidence or reasoning behind your comment. Anonymous or unspecific allegations cannot be acted on.

What Happens Next

  1. The editorial office acknowledges the message and forwards it to the corresponding author, who is invited to respond.
  2. The Editor-in-Chief assesses the comment together with the response.
  3. The outcome is one of the following: no action; a published comment or reply; a correction; an expression of concern; or, for serious cases, a retraction. Corrections and retractions follow the Correction and Retraction Policy.

Ground Rules

  • Comments address the work, not the people. Discourteous or defamatory messages are not forwarded.
  • Concerns about misconduct are handled confidentially until a decision is made.
  • Whoever raises a concern in good faith is not penalised.
