Updated Author Guidelines and Submission Preparation Checklist

Dear authors,

The editorial team of Lingkar: Journal of Environmental Engineering has updated the Author Guidelines and the Submission Preparation Checklist. The changes apply to all new submissions received from 7 October 2026. Please read both before preparing your manuscript.

What has changed

• Reference requirements: research articles must cite at least 20 references, of which at least 75% are articles in reputable journals. As a priority, at least 60% of the journal articles cited should be from the last 5 years.
• Author Statement Form: a signed Author Statement Form must be uploaded together with the manuscript.
• Blind review: authors no longer need to submit an anonymised file. Submit the manuscript with author names and affiliations as in the template; the editorial office will prepare the anonymised version for reviewers. Please cite your own earlier work in the third person.
• Submission Preparation Checklist: the checklist has been updated to reflect these requirements. Authors must confirm every item before submitting.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the updated guidelines may be returned to the authors before peer review.
