An-Nahdah Al-'Arabiyah: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab is committed to maintaining editorial independence, academic integrity, transparency, and fairness throughout its scholarly publishing activities.
The journal is published under the institutional responsibility of Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, Indonesia.
The publisher supports the journal's academic mission, organizational management, and publishing infrastructure while respecting the professional independence of editorial decisions.
The Editor-in-Chief holds primary responsibility for the journal's editorial policies, manuscript evaluation, peer-review oversight, and final publication decisions.
Editorial decisions are based on:
Relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
Originality and scholarly contribution.
Methodological quality.
Accuracy and reliability of evidence.
Research and publication ethics.
Constructive evaluation by qualified reviewers.
The publisher, institutional administrators, sponsors, and other external parties must not improperly influence manuscript acceptance or rejection.
Research articles normally undergo double-anonymous peer review involving at least two qualified and independent reviewers.
Reviewers are selected according to their expertise and ability to provide impartial scholarly assessment.
The journal prohibits attempts to manipulate reviewer selection, reviewer reports, editorial recommendations, or publication decisions.
Editors must disclose relevant financial, institutional, professional, academic, or personal interests that may compromise their impartiality.
Editors must not handle manuscripts in which they have a material conflict of interest.
Such submissions must be assigned to another qualified editor who can exercise independent judgment.
Manuscripts submitted by the Editor-in-Chief, managing editors, editorial board members, or their close collaborators must undergo the same editorial and peer-review standards as other submissions.
An editor who is also an author must not participate in selecting reviewers, accessing confidential reviewer information beyond the author role, influencing editorial deliberations, or making the publication decision for that manuscript.
The journal must assign responsibility to an independent editor without a relevant conflict of interest.
Editorial decisions must remain independent of publication fees, sponsorship, institutional affiliation, personal relationships, and financial considerations.
No payment may guarantee manuscript acceptance, a favorable review outcome, accelerated acceptance, or publication in a particular issue.
Author-side fees, where applicable, must be disclosed transparently before submission.
The journal evaluates research according to scholarly standards without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, political opinion, or personal background.
Editors must respect legitimate academic disagreement and support scholarly debate conducted in good faith.
Editorial independence does not remove the obligation to enforce ethical standards, protect research participants, or comply with applicable legal requirements.
Authors may submit reasoned complaints or appeals concerning procedural irregularities, conflicts of interest, or possible breaches of editorial policy.
Complaints involving the Editor-in-Chief must be handled through an appropriately independent editorial or institutional mechanism.
Appeals are evaluated according to the available evidence and do not automatically result in reversal of an editorial decision.
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team are accountable for applying the journal's policies consistently and maintaining appropriate records of editorial decisions.
The publisher supports transparent governance and appropriate mechanisms for addressing ethical concerns.
Any necessary correction, expression of concern, or retraction must be handled according to the journal's established procedures.
An-Nahdah Al-'Arabiyah affirms that editorial independence is essential to maintaining scholarly credibility and public trust in the published research record.
