The conflict between the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the Indonesian Government has had a major impact on Acehnese society, including women in the Inong Balee troops. During the conflict, they played a role in logistics, military operations, and political education. After the 2005 Helsinki Memorandum of Understanding, they faced challenges in the process of reintegration into civil society. This study analyzes the socio-economic dynamics and barriers to reintegration faced by former Inong Balee in Bireuen Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach through interviews and documentation. The results show a shift in roles from fighters to domestic economic actors, such as farmers, traders, and micro business managers. The obstacles that emerged include limited capital, lack of skills, social stigma, and psychological pressure. Family discipline and responsibility are internal strengths in adaptation, although they are not yet supported structurally. These findings emphasize the importance of contextual, gender-responsive, and sustainable reintegration policies to protect and empower female ex-combatants.
