Dirasat al-Islamiyat: International Journal for Islamic Studies is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. Articles may be retracted or withdrawn when ethical violations, serious errors, or publishing misconduct are identified.
Article Withdrawal
Article withdrawal refers to the removal of a manuscript before it is formally published in an issue of the journal. Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript for valid reasons, provided that the editorial process has not reached the final publication stage.
- Authors must submit a formal written request explaining the reason for withdrawal.
- Withdrawal requests are subject to approval by the Editor-in-Chief.
- Manuscripts cannot be withdrawn if they are already under advanced stages of peer review or production without reasonable justification.
- Unethical withdrawal practices, including simultaneous submission to multiple journals, are strictly prohibited.
Article Retraction
Article retraction is conducted for published articles that are found to contain serious ethical or scientific issues that may affect the reliability of the work.
- Evidence of plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification.
- Major errors that invalidate the findings or conclusions of the article.
- Duplicate publication or unethical research practices.
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest that significantly influence the research.
Retraction Procedure
- The editorial board will conduct an investigation based on available evidence.
- Authors will be informed and given an opportunity to respond to allegations.
- If retraction is deemed necessary, the article will remain accessible online with a clear retraction notice to preserve the scholarly record.
- The retraction notice will clearly state the reason for the retraction.
The journal follows ethical publishing standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and the credibility of all published research.
