Authors submitting manuscripts to Dirasat al-Islamiyat: International Journal for Islamic Studies are required to follow the journal guidelines to ensure consistency, academic quality, and an efficient review process.
General Requirements
  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
  • Articles should be written in clear academic English or Arabic with proper grammar and structure.
  • The manuscript must align with the scope and focus of the journal.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all references, quotations, and data.
Manuscript Structure

Submitted manuscripts should generally contain the following sections:

Title: Concise, informative, and relevant to the study.
Abstract: Approximately 150–250 words summarizing the objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions.
Keywords: 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the article.
Introduction: Background, research problem, research objectives, research questions, and significance of the study.
Theoretical Framework: Relevant theories, concepts, previous studies, and the theoretical perspectives that provide the foundation for the research.
Methodology: Research design, research setting or participants, data sources, data collection techniques, research instruments, and data analysis procedures.
Results and Discussion: Presentation of research findings followed by interpretation, analysis, and discussion of the findings in relation to relevant theories and previous studies.
Conclusion: Summary of the main findings, implications, limitations, and recommendations or suggestions for future research.
References: Complete list of all cited works following the required citation and reference style.
Formatting Guidelines
  • Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Use Times New Roman, 12 pt font size, and 1.5 line spacing.
  • Use A4 paper size with standard margins.
  • All tables, figures, and charts must be clearly labeled and properly cited.
Citation and References
  • Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scholarly references.
  • References should primarily come from academic journals, books, and reputable scholarly sources.
  • Authors are required to use Mendeley as the reference management tool for organizing citations and bibliographic references.
  • Citation and bibliography style should follow the journal’s specified format.
Submission Process
  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
  • Authors should ensure that all metadata and author information are entered correctly during submission.
  • Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer and editor comments.
Copyright and Ethics
Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics, plagiarism policy, and copyright regulations. Any ethical misconduct identified during or after the review process may result in rejection or retraction of the article.
