An-Nahdah Al-'Arabiyah regards informed scholarly criticism as part of publication, including after an article has appeared in a journal issue. We welcome questions, documented corrections, critical responses, and evidence-based concerns relating to published research in Arabic language and literary studies.
Readers may send a message to nahdah@ar-raniry.ac.id identifying the article title, DOI, specific passage or claim at issue, and the reasoning or evidence supporting the comment. Scholarly comments should address the research rather than make personal attacks. The journal may request clarification, evidence, or a concise response format before considering public publication.
An editor assesses the relevance and substance of the comment and ordinarily offers the original authors an opportunity to reply. A reasoned comment and response may be published as a letter, commentary, or another clearly labeled item subject to editorial assessment. Where the concern suggests a material error or misconduct, the editor applies the Research Misconduct or Corrections and Retractions Policy instead of treating it only as a debate.
Comments and replies are clearly linked to the original work when published. Legitimate criticism is not suppressed merely because it challenges the journal or its authors. Defamatory, threatening, irrelevant, or unsupported material may be declined with a reason. The journal protects confidential research-integrity inquiries until disclosure is appropriate.
