All manuscripts submitted to the Indonesian Journal of Halal Management and Technology (IJHMT) undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific contribution, and relevance of the published articles.
Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the Editorial Board to determine its suitability for publication in IJHMT. The evaluation includes:
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise in the relevant subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, publication record, and expertise related to the manuscript topic.

Review Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:
When revisions are required, authors are asked to revise their manuscript and submit a detailed response to reviewers’ comments within the specified timeframe.
Revision and Re-Review
For manuscripts requiring major revisions or resubmission, the revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. The Editor will then make a final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revisions.
Final Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ reports, editorial evaluation, and the journal’s publication standards.

Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, research background, publication history, and experience in areas relevant to halal management, halal technology, halal industry, Islamic economics, Islamic finance, halal supply chain, halal science, and related disciplines.
