IJHMT recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies may assist authors in improving language, readability, organization, and efficiency during manuscript preparation.
However:
Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in manuscript preparation by including an AI Declaration Statement during submission.
The declaration should specify:
Routine grammar and spelling corrections do not require disclosure.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
Authorship is limited to individuals who:
IJHMT does not permit the use of generative AI tools to create, modify, manipulate, or fabricate research images, figures, graphs, or visual data.
Acceptable image adjustments are limited to standard modifications such as brightness, contrast, and color balance, provided that no information is altered or obscured.
