JAROW: Journal of Ar-Raniry on Social Work follows a structured and transparent publication process to ensure the quality and integrity of every article. The process comprises the following stages:
Authors submit their manuscript online through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The manuscript must conform to the journal's Aims and Scope, Author Guidelines, and official template. Authors are required to register and log in to the system before submitting.
The editorial team examines each submission for compliance with the Author Guidelines, alignment with the Aims and Scope, and adherence to the journal template. Each manuscript is screened for originality using plagiarism-detection software (Turnitin). Manuscripts that fail to meet these requirements are desk-rejected and do not proceed to review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers assess the originality, methodology, argument, and scholarly contribution of the manuscript. Details are set out in the journal's Peer Review Process.
On the basis of the reviewers' recommendations, the editor issues one of the following decisions: accept, accept with minor revisions, major revisions required, or reject. The decision, together with the reviewers' comments, is communicated to the corresponding author through the OJS platform.
Authors whose manuscripts require revision must submit a revised version within the stipulated period, accompanied by a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts requiring major changes may be sent for a further round of review.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript. Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage.
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting for language, style, and consistency. The corresponding author receives the proofs for verification and is expected to return corrections promptly. Only minor corrections are permitted at this stage.
The manuscript is formatted according to the journal's layout, and the final galley is prepared in PDF and, where available, other full-text formats.
The final article is published in the assigned volume and issue, assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), and made freely available under the journal's Open Access Policy. The article is disseminated through the journal's indexing and archiving services.
