Author Guidelines

Author Guideline:

  1. The manuscript must follow the official Journal Template (template link).
  2. The manuscript must be in line with the Aims and Scope of JAROW: Journal of Ar-Raniry on Social Work.
  3. Manuscripts must be composed in accurate British English or American English, used consistently throughout. Authors are strongly advised to engage a professional proofreader before submission.
  4. Article length is approximately 5,000 to 7,000 words, including references.
  5. The manuscript must be typed on A4 paper using Georgia font, size 12, with 2 cm margins on all sides. Single spacing applies to the abstract and the reference list; 1.15 line spacing applies to the body text; and 1.5 line spacing applies between reference entries.
  6. The manuscript must include an abstract of 150–200 words, written in British or American English, fully justified, and standing alone without any citations.
  7. Manuscripts must be submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect file format.
  8. The full name(s) of the author(s) must be provided, together with their affiliation(s) and complete email address(es). The corresponding author must be clearly indicated. A manuscript may include a maximum of five (5) co-authors in addition to the principal author.
  9. Following the abstract, authors must provide three to five (3–5) keywords for indexing purposes. Keywords should be specific, avoid general or plural terms and multiple concepts, and must not repeat words used in the title.
  10. The body of the article must follow standard scientific publication conventions, using the structure: Introduction, Literature Review, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. The introduction should present, in sequence, the general background, the research question or hypothesis, and the research gap and should state the study objective at its end.
  11. In matters of citation and referencing, JAROW follows the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, 7th edition. All references must be arranged alphabetically (A–Z) and drawn primarily from up-to-date primary sources.
  12. The title should not exceed 14 words and must be clear, concise, informative, and free of abbreviations, phrased in accordance with the standards of academic publication.
  13. JAROW does not permit excessive or concentrated submissions from the same author or co-author. Authors are therefore advised to observe an interval of at least one year between submissions. Repeated submissions under the same name—whether as principal author or co-author—within a short period may result in desk rejection in order to uphold ethical standards and prevent potential publication misconduct.
  14. Manuscripts that do not comply with these Author Guidelines will be rejected and will not proceed to the next stage of review.
