SISTEM RETURN BARANG RUSAK DAN KADALUWARSA DALAM PERSPEKTIF KHIYAR
Studi Kasus Pada Retailer Di Kota Banda Aceh

This study aims to identify solutions and challenges in optimizing the return system for damaged and expired goods from retailers to distributors, with a case study on Wings and Unilever distributors in Banda Aceh. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, employing interviews and observations involving relevant business actors. The findings reveal several obstacles, including delays in return submissions, non-digital documentation, and limited procedural socialization to retailers. Proposed solutions include implementing a digital return system, regular training for retailers, and strengthening two-way communication between distributors and retailers.This study also refers to the Islamic business ethics concept of khiyār, which grants buyers the right to cancel transactions when defects are found in purchased goods, and to Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, which guarantees consumers' rights to safe, proper, and quality products, as well as the right to compensation for damages. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for developing a more efficient, fair, and transparent consumer goods distribution system.
