Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Information and Communication Technology Development Index (IP-TIK), the Environmental Quality Index (IKLH), and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) on economic growth in Indonesia from an Islamic economics perspective. The data used consists of panel data from 34 provinces for the period 2020–2024, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency, with a total of 170 observations. The analysis employs panel data regression, where the best model was selected using the Chow and Hausman tests; the results indicate that the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) is the most appropriate model. Tests of classical assumptions confirmed that the model is free from multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The estimation results show that the ICT Index (IP-TIK), the Environmental Quality Index (IKLH), and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) simultaneously have a significant effect on economic growth (R² = 0.62). Partially, the ICT Index and the Environmental Quality Index have positive and significant effects, respectively, while Gross Fixed Capital Formation has a positive but insignificant effect. These findings indicate that digital transformation and environmental quality play a stronger role in driving economic growth than physical investment, which remains unevenly distributed. From an Islamic economic perspective, these results affirm that economic growth must reflect the principles of justice, balance, and sustainability in order to achieve the well-being of the ummah (falah).
