Abstract

The utilization of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) in Aceh is constrained by limited product value addition, restricted market access, and weak community institutions. This study analyzes the optimization of community-based NTFP utilization from the perspectives of the Green Islamic Economy (GIE) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A descriptive qualitative case study was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that NTFP optimization is driven by the synergy of community capacity building, product value addition, market access, institutional strengthening, and sustainable forest management. These findings reflect GIE principles and support the achievement of SDGs 8, 12, and 15
