PEER REVIEW POLICY

During the initial editorial screening, the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor evaluates whether the manuscript is sufficiently aligned with one or more of the five interconnected scope areas of JLCTS.

Editorial Scope Decision

A manuscript may be declined without external peer review when:

  1. its subject matter falls outside the journal's scope;
  2. its contribution to low-carbon technology, sustainable energy, green development, governance, finance, sustainable production, or related societal dimensions is insufficient;
  3. the manuscript does not meet the journal's basic scholarly requirements; or
  4. significant ethical or research-integrity concerns are identified.
