AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Scope and Relevance

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that the research makes a clear scholarly contribution to at least one of the five interconnected areas of JLCTS.

Manuscripts should demonstrate:

  • A clear research problem or question;
  • A sound theoretical or conceptual foundation;
  • Appropriate methodology;
  • Valid and transparent analysis;
  • A meaningful contribution to the relevant field;
  • Appropriate engagement with recent scholarly literature; and
  • Clear implications for low-carbon technology, sustainable development, energy systems, policy, industry, or society, where applicable.

Scope Check

Manuscripts that do not demonstrate a meaningful connection to the scope of JLCTS may be rejected during initial editorial screening.
