NU Online Super App Android Prayer Time Application: Testing Accuracy and User Experience

This study examines the accuracy of the "NU Online Super App," developed by Nahdlatul Ulama, the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia, in providing prayer times. Given the significance of Islamic Astronomy in calculating prayer times, the research focuses on the application of Islamic Astronomy principles within the app's algorithm. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, involving an in-depth analysis of the app's features and algorithms, as well as a comparison of the app's prayer times with manual calculations based on Islamic Astronomy. The findings indicate that the NU Online Super App's algorithm accurately implements Islamic Astronomy principles, resulting in highly precise prayer times. The app also adapts the solar altitude criteria according to the user's location. However, some limitations were identified, such as offline use and high-altitude regions, which require additional user understanding. Overall, the prayer time accuracy provided by the app is excellent, with local adjustments for Subuh and Isya times in Indonesia and the Ummul Qurra criteria in Mecca.
