Abstract

stores, are another area that has evolved in this era of technological advancements. Often, when people purchase and sell through TikTok businesses, the products they receive don’t match the ones they requested. Based on the above problems, the researcher examined two problem formulations: the first is how the process of buying and selling and returning goods through TikTok Shop, and the second focuses on safeguarding juridical interests for consumers who shop on the TikTok Shop application. The research method implemented is empirical juridical analysis with a legal sociological approach, using data collected through interviews. According to the study’s conclusions, the TikTok Shop app’s transaction mechanism complies with all relevant legal laws, as stated in the agreement. Several areas still require improvement to better safeguard consumer rights, as the TikTok Shop has not fully satisfied them in the purchasing and selling process.
