In the context of Dusun Nanggulan's society, the practice of Sedekah Bumi serves as a distinctive example of how tradition interacts with religion to create social solidarity and preserve communal values. This study aims to deepen the understanding of the Sedekah Bumi practice in Dusun Nanggulan, particularly exploring how the community responds, maintains, and adapts this tradition in the context of evolving religious understandings. This article employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and literature review for data collection. The findings of this study indicate that Sedekah Bumi remains highly relevant in the lives of the Dusun Nanggulan community. Despite changes in its execution, such as procedural adaptations and the participation of the younger generation, this practice continues to be a crucial means of expressing gratitude and strengthening social solidarity. The study concludes that the Sedekah Bumi practice in Dusun Nanggulan demonstrates how religion and tradition can collaborate to solidify a harmonious social structure within the community, while playing a vital role in preserving traditional values, facilitating intergenerational value transmission, and maintaining social cohesion in Dusun Nanggulan.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Agama dan tradisi merupakan dua pilar penting dalam membentuk pandangan dan perilaku sosial masyarakat. Dalam konteks masyarakat Dusun Nanggulan, praktik Sedekah Bumi menjadi contoh khas bagaimana tradisi berinteraksi dengan agama untuk menciptakan solidaritas sosial dan mempertahankan nilai-nilai komunal. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang praktik Sedekah Bumi di Dusun Nanggulan, khususnya dalam mengeksplorasi bagaimana masyarakat merespons, mempertahankan, dan mengadaptasi tradisi tersebut dalam konteks pemahaman agama yang berkembang. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Sedekah Bumi masih sangat relevan dalam kehidupan masyarakat Dusun Nanggulan. Meskipun mengalami perubahan dalam pelaksanaan, seperti adaptasi prosesi dan partisipasi generasi muda, praktik ini tetap menjadi sarana penting untuk ekspresi syukur dan memperkuat solidaritas sosial. This study aims to explore the Hijrah phenomenon within the Indonesian context by examining shifts in its meaning and practices, as well as understanding its transformation into a social movement that influences religious identity and social interactions. Employing a qualitative methodology, this study focuses on a literature review and an interpretive approach to grasp the Hijrah phenomenon from historical, social, cultural, and spiritual perspectives. The findings reveal that Hijrah has evolved from the concept of physical migration to encompass changes in attitude, lifestyle, and Islamic dress codes, reflecting repentance and the religious aspirations of a new generation. Additionally, Hijrah serves as a medium for disseminating doctrine and carries specific socio-economic impacts. This study concludes that Hijrah in Indonesia is a multidimensional phenomenon, reflecting the dynamic social, cultural, and religious fabric of the society. The transformation of Hijrah into a social movement not only alters the religious landscape but also influences social, economic, and political interactions. This study emphasizes the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in understanding contemporary religious and social dynamics.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Fenomena hijrah di Indonesia telah mengalami transformasi dari perjalanan spiritual menjadi gerakan sosial yang luas dan melibatkan berbagai komunitas dengan latar belakang historis dan konteks sosio-politik beragam.&nbsp; Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi fenomena hijrah dalam konteks Indonesia dengan menelaah pergeseran makna dan praktiknya, serta memahami transformasinya menjadi gerakan sosial yang mempengaruhi identitas religius dan interaksi sosial. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan fokus studi kepustakaan dan pendekatan interpretatif untuk memahami fenomena hijrah dari perspektif historis, sosial, budaya, dan spiritual. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa hijrah telah berkembang dari konsep migrasi fisik menjadi perubahan sikap, gaya hidup, dan tata cara berpakaian yang lebih Islami, mencerminkan pertobatan dan aspirasi religius generasi baru. Hijrah juga menjadi medium penyebaran doktrin dan memiliki dampak sosio-ekonomi tertentu. This study employs a qualitative approach, with informants selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary studies. Data analysis adheres to the framework proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings reveal that the transformation of Kwangenrejo into a Pancasila Village has successfully reduced tensions and promoted interfaith harmony. Activities such as the socialization of Pancasila values, installation of Pancasila stickers, and revitalization of the mutual assistance culture demonstrate the effectiveness of Pancasila values in resolving conflicts and fostering harmony. The study concludes that the implementation of the Pancasila Village in Kwangenrejo illustrates that the application of Pancasila values can serve as an effective strategy in religious conflict resolution.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Kampung Pancasila di Kampung Kwangenrejo sebagai strategi resolusi konflik keagamaan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, informan dipilih melalui teknik Purposive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan&nbsp; data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, pengamatan partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data mengikuti kerangka kerja Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa transformasi Kwangenrejo menjadi Kampung Pancasila berhasil mengurangi ketegangan dan mempromosikan kerukunan antaragama. Kegiatan seperti sosialisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila, pemasangan stiker Pancasila, dan revitalisasi budaya gotong royong menunjukkan efektivitas implementasi nilai Pancasila dalam menyelesaikan konflik dan membangun kerukunan. It explores ideas and efforts to foster harmony amidst the intolerance often found among diverse ethnic and religious groups. The arguments of pluralists merit examination and analysis, considering the approach of religious pluralism they adopt has evoked both support and controversy in society. Moreover, disputes over the meanings and concepts of this approach even among its proponents are noteworthy. This qualitative research is based on library research, utilizing both print and digital sources. Initially, the article outlines the pluralists' arguments for building harmony through religious pluralism, which are then subjected to critical analysis. It finds that the concept of religious pluralism embodies elements of truth relativism and the desacralization of religious values. Consequently, efforts to foster harmony proposed by pluralists often conflict with religious values, especially Islamic teachings, such as denying claims of salvation, endorsing same-sex marriage, interfaith marriage, and permitting apostasy, viewed as forms of religious freedom claimed to align with the commandments of Allah.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep kerukunan antar umat dengan pendekatan pluralisme agama yang digagas oleh para pemikir Muslim kontemporer. Gagasan dan upaya membangun kerukunan berkait dengan perilaku intoleransi yang jamak terjadi di tengah keragaman suku dan agama. Argumen para pluralis layak dikaji dan dianalisis mengingat pendekatan pluralisme agama yang mereka gunakan menuai pro dan kontra di masyarakat. Bahkan, perebutan makna dan konsep tentang pendekatan ini terjadi di antara mereka sendiri. Penelitian dalam artikel ini bersifat kualitatif dengan berbasis pada data kepustakaan, baik cetak maupun digital. Mula-mula, peneliti memaparkan argumen para pluralis membangun kerukunan dengan pendekatan pluralisme agama untuk kemudian dianalisis secara kritis. Dalam tulisan ini ditemukan bahwa gagasan pluralisme agama mengandung relativisme kebenaran dan mendesakralisasi nilai-nilai agama. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and content analysis conducted during the sessions of the Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) Primary Cadre Training. The study indicates that IPNU Primary Cadre Training emphasizes self-analysis, organizational understanding, and the development of ideology while instilling values of patriotism, nationalism, and Islamic ideology. The study concludes that leadership training in IPNU is grounded in Max Weber's theory of authority, emphasizing a combination of technical expertise and moral integrity. Although Primary Cadre Training does not guarantee charismatic authority, it serves as a crucial foundation for IPNU cadres to assume leadership responsibilities in the future.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendiskusikan tentang bagaimana Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta menanamkan kualitas kepemimpinan pada anggotanya melalui Latihan Kader Utama. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis konten selama sesi Latihan Kader Utama Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU). &nbsp;Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan Kader Utama IPNU menitikberatkan pada analisis diri, pemahaman organisasi, dan pengembangan ideologi, serta menanamkan nilai cinta tanah air, nasionalisme, dan ideologi keislaman. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa latihan kepemimpinan di IPNU memiliki dasar pada teori otoritas Max Weber yang menekankan pada kombinasi keahlian teknis dan integritas moral. The primary focus is on understanding how religious moderation is represented, how power relations are constructed, and how identity is formed through this discourse. The study adopts a qualitative approach, applying Fairclough's techniques for critical discourse analysis. Data were collected from content related to religious moderation on the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The analysis divides the discourse into three levels: Microstructural, Mesostructural, and Macrostructural. At the Microstructural level, the findings indicate that the representation in the discourse of religious moderation includes comprehensive information and clear metaphors, establishing power relations and positioning journalists as part of governmental authority. At the Mesostructural level, it was found that the Ministry of Religious Affairs' website functions as a government information medium in the religious domain, with journalists as members of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, reaffirming power relations in the dissemination of the discourse. Furthermore, the Macrostructural analysis reveals that the Ministry of Religious Affairs' efforts to construct a narrative of religious moderation are a strategic response to social threats disrupting national unity, such as radicalism and intolerance. This study confirms that the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia uses its website as the primary platform for spreading the discourse of religious moderation as an effort to face social challenges and strengthen national unity. The critical discourse analysis demonstrates that representation, power relations, and identity formation through the discourse of religious moderation play a crucial role in this effort.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wacana moderasi beragama yang disampaikan oleh Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia menggunakan kerangka analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough. Fokus utama adalah untuk memahami bagaimana moderasi beragama direpresentasikan, bagaimana relasi kuasa terkonstruksi, dan bagaimana identitas dibentuk melalui wacana tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan menerapkan teknik analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough. Data dikumpulkan dari konten yang terkait dengan moderasi beragama pada situs web resmi Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. Analisis dilakukan dengan membagi wacana menjadi tiga tingkat yaitu Mikrostruktural, Mesostruktural dan Makrostruktural. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada tingkat Mikrostruktural, representasi dalam wacana moderasi beragama mencakup informasi yang lengkap dan metafora yang jelas, membangun relasi kuasa dan memosisikan wartawan sebagai bagian dari otoritas pemerintah. Pada tingkat Mesostruktural, ditemukan bahwa situs web Kementerian Agama berfungsi sebagai medium informasi pemerintah dalam bidang keagamaan, dengan wartawan sebagai anggota dari Kementerian Agama, yang menegaskan kembali relasi kuasa dalam penyebaran wacana. Kemudian, analisis Makrostruktural menunjukkan bahwa upaya Kementerian Agama dalam membangun narasi moderasi beragama merupakan respons strategis terhadap ancaman sosial yang mengganggu persatuan bangsa, seperti radikalisme dan intoleransi. Kajian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia menggunakan situs webnya sebagai platform utama untuk menyebarkan wacana moderasi beragama sebagai upaya menghadapi tantangan sosial dan memperkuat persatuan nasional. Utilizing a qualitative methodology within a case study approach, the data for this article were obtained through observation and structured interviews with sociology teachers, the principal, and other supporting informants. The findings indicate that student indiscipline is influenced by a variety of factors, including self-awareness, the family and school environments, and social interactions. The acts of indiscipline encompass a range of behaviors, from truancy to non-compliance with school rules. Moreover, the implemented control strategies, which emphasize the development of strong social bonds between students and their environment, have proven effective in reducing incidents of indiscipline. The study concludes that strengthening social bonds through attachment, commitment, involvement, and belief is essential in preventing and controlling indiscipline among students. It highlights the significance of active roles for teachers and school authorities in the processes of character building and discipline.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tindakan indisipliner di kalangan siswa SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo, menyelidiki penyebab dan dampaknya, serta mengidentifikasi strategi pengendalian yang efektif berdasarkan teori kontrol sosial. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, data dalam artikel ini diperoleh melalu observasi dan wawancara terstruktur dengan guru sosiologi, kepala sekolah, dan narasumber pendukung lainnya. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku indisipliner siswa dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk kesadaran diri, lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah, serta pergaulan. Tindakan indisipliner siswa mencakup berbagai perilaku, dari membolos hingga tidak mengikuti aturan sekolah. Lebih lanjut, strategi pengendalian yang diterapkan, yang menekankan pada pembangunan ikatan sosial yang kuat antara siswa dengan lingkungannya, terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi insiden perilaku indisipliner. This study focuses on the implementation of the Waste Bank in Sukowati Village, Bojonegoro District, as an innovative solution to tackle waste issues by transforming it into a valuable resource. Utilizing qualitative and descriptive approaches, the research examines the roles and strategies of RT 13 residents in Sukowati Village in managing the Waste Bank, encompassing the collection, sorting, and structured management of waste. Findings reveal that the Waste Bank not only facilitates more efficient waste management but also enhances environmental awareness and provides economic benefits to the community. Structured management, community education, and empowerment through collaboration among residents and with relevant stakeholders have proven effective in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. This study underscores the importance of active community participation and sustainable practices in waste management.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Dalam era globalisasi dan pertumbuhan populasi yang cepat, pengelolaan sampah menjadi tantangan besar bagi kesehatan publik dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Studi ini berfokus pada implementasi Bank Sampah di Desa Sukowati, Kabupaten Bojonegoro, sebagai inovasi untuk mengatasi permasalahan sampah dengan mengubahnya menjadi sumber daya yang bernilai. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan deskriptif, penelitian ini meneliti peran dan strategi warga RT 13 Desa Sukowati dalam pengelolaan Bank Sampah, termasuk pengumpulan, pemilahan, dan pengelolaan sampah secara terstruktur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Bank Sampah tidak hanya membantu dalam pengelolaan sampah yang lebih efisien, tetapi juga meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan memberikan manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat. Pengelolaan yang terstruktur, edukasi masyarakat, dan pemberdayaan komunitas melalui kerja sama antar warga dan dengan pihak terkait, terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih bersih, sehat, dan berkelanjutan. This distinction underpins the country's recognition of its political and legal status, thereby impeding the rights of Indigenous practitioners, including Kejawen followers. Several factors contribute to this systemic discrimination: the Western conception of religion, the dichotomy between religion and belief enshrined in Article 29 of the 1945 Indonesian Constitution, the narrow definition of religion by the Indonesian Department of Religion, the association of indigenous beliefs with communism post-1965, and the application of blasphemy laws aimed at "purifying" religion while sidelining belief systems. This study aims to explore the discriminative dynamics against Kejawen within the binary framework of religion versus belief through qualitative research and critical discourse analysis. It seeks to uncover the ambiguity surrounding the concept of religion in Indonesia, drawing on a wide range of sources, including historical narratives, academic studies, relevant legislation, and judicial rulings. This research indicates a significant bias rooted in the differentiation between "religion" and "belief," primarily originating from Western perspectives on religion. This study aims to examine how the lifestyle choice of being childfree is communicated and received within the Indonesian social context, through the discourse analysis of childfree narratives shared by two influencers, Gita Savitri and Cinta Laura, and the response from Indonesian netizens. Employing Foucault’s critical discourse analysis approach, this research explores the construction of discourse, power relations, and the dynamics of ideology within the discussion of childfree. The research methodology includes content analysis of social media and mass media related to the childfree statements of the two influencers and the reactions they receive. Findings reveal significant differences in the way Gita Savitri and Cinta Laura present their childfree choices and in the netizen responses, influenced by the extent to which their choices align with or challenge dominant social norms. The conclusion of this study underscores that the acceptance of childfree in Indonesia depends not only on the discourse content itself but also on how individuals interact with broader social and cultural structures.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Fenomena childfree, atau pilihan untuk tidak memiliki anak, mendapatkan perhatian yang meningkat di Indonesia, sebuah negara dengan kuatnya pengaruh norma agama dan budaya yang menganggap memiliki anak sebagai sebuah kewajiban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana childfree sebagai pilihan hidup dikomunikasikan dan diterima dalam konteks sosial Indonesia, melalui analisis wacana childfree yang disampaikan oleh dua influencer, Gita Savitri dan Cinta Laura, dan respons netizen Indonesia terhadapnya. Menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis Foucault, studi ini mengeksplorasi konstruksi wacana, relasi kekuasaan, dan dinamika ideologi dalam diskusi childfree. Metode penelitian melibatkan analisis konten media sosial dan media massa yang berkaitan dengan pernyataan childfree kedua influencer dan respons yang mereka terima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam cara Gita Savitri dan Cinta Laura mempresentasikan pilihan childfree mereka dan perbedaan dalam respons netizen, yang dipengaruhi oleh sejauh mana pilihan mereka sejalan atau bertentangan dengan norma sosial dominan. Consequently, this paper examines the impact of anime on the lives of university students in Banda Aceh, aiming to understand both the positive and negative effects of anime and Japanese culture on students' lifestyle changes. This qualitative research utilized observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The findings reveal various forms of lifestyle changes, including alterations in motivation, social interaction, the incorporation of the Japanese language into daily life, the adoption of anime fashion, imitative behaviors, and shifts in students' perspectives towards anime and Japanese culture. The positive impacts identified from anime include the development of Japanese language skills, anime serving as a source of inspiration, and anime facilitating social interaction among students. However, the study also highlights negative impacts, such as the excessive amount of time spent watching anime, experiences of hallucinations, and exposure to inappropriate content or content overly focused on sexuality.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Munculnya anime di kalangan mahasiswa memberikan pengaruh dalam membentuk gaya hidup tersendiri akibat mengimitasi konsep anime tersebut. Oleh karena itu tulisan ini mengkaji bagaimana dampak anime bagi kehidupan mahasiswa di Banda Aceh untuk mengetahui dampak positif dan negatif dari pengaruh anime dan budaya Jepang terhadap perubahan gaya hidup mahasiswa. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa bentuk perubahan gaya hidup yaitu perubahan motivasi, interaksi sosial, penggunaan bahasa Jepang dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, adopsi fashion anime, serta perilaku imitasi, hingga perubahan perspektif mahasiswa terhadap anime dan budaya Jepang. Adapun dampak positif yang ditimbulkan anime kepada mahasiswa adalah pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa Jepang, anime sebagai sumber inspiratif dan anime sebagai pembangun interaksi sosial bagi mahasiswa.
