Evaluasi Desain Taman Islam Berdasarkan Al-Qur'an dan Hadist di Masjid Jamik Baitul Izzah, Bireuen

Abstract

Parks are areas composed of softscape and hardscape elements that not only beautify the environment, but also maintain its sustainability and quality, and function as a gathering place for people to enjoy the outdoors. The presence of parks can be seen in various architectural features, including in mosques. Generally, the concept of a mosque garden is an Islamic garden to maintain continuity with the theme of the building design. One of the mosques designed for its outdoor area and garden is the Jamik Baitul Izzah Mosque located in Kutablang District, Bireuen. Based on initial information, the mosque is rumored to carry the concept of an Islamic garden. However, it is still unclear to what extent the mosque applies the concept, especially based on the Qur'an and Hadist. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify the extent to which the concept of an Islamic garden based on the main Islamic guidelines, namely the Al-Quran and Hadist, is applied to the research subject. The methods used are descriptive and qualitative through field observations, interviews, and literature research. Based on the search, the Baitul Izzah Jamik Mosque has begun to apply the concept of an Islamic garden based on the Al-Quran and Hadist. This is because the Mosque garden more strongly meets the quality standards of garden elements and characters from the Qur'an and Hadist.
