This article examines zakat and waqf from the perspective of hadith as socio-spiritual instruments that serve to build the welfare of the ummah. Through an analysis of the chain of transmission (sanad), textual content (matan), and the historical context of hadiths on zakat and waqf, this study demonstrates that Islam has from the outset established the foundation of economic distribution alongside the sustainability of social benefits. On the other hand, contemporary realities in Indonesia show that the management of zakat by the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) and the management of waqf by the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) still face significant challenges. This article proposes the integration of zakat and waqf management through the paradigm of Islamic circular economy by leveraging digitalization, public literacy, and institutional synergy. The study concludes that hadiths on zakat and waqf are not merely normative texts but also serve as ethical and strategic guidelines in realizing socio-economic justice in the modern era.
