Abstract

Gratitude is a psychological strength that plays a significant role in minimizing negative feelings. The current study aims to determine the relationship between feelings of gratitude and Fear Of Missing Out (FoMO) among Indonesian Muslim teenagers. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The participants were 40 Muslim teenagers (34% male, 66% female) who participated in this study voluntarily, with an age range from 17 to 23 (M=20.33, SD=2.693). Data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of biography questions, a gratitude scale, and a FoMO scale. Data were analyzed using Pearson's product-moment correlation. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between gratitude and FoMO, indicating that having a high level of gratitude does not determine a low level of FoMO, where Muslim teenagers who have a high level of gratitude also have a high level of FoMO.
