Biomass is an alternative energy from forestry and agricultural waste which is considered useless, the quantity of biomass energy is quite abundant but its use has not been optimized. Briquettes are one of the abundant utilization of biomass. Cocoa husks, coffee husks and pine bark are the sources of biomass used in this study. The comparison combination determines the quality of the briquettes. The aims of the research were the calorific value, moisture content, ash content, volatile matter content, density, and fixed carbon based on the comparison of the concentrations of cocoa shells and coffee skins. The percentage of pine resin adhesive in each sample was 50%, while the percentage of cocoa skin and coffee skin A was 75% : 25%, B 25% : 75%, C 50% : 50%, D 90% : 10% and E 10% : 90%. The best value in this study was found in sample A with 4.04% moisture content, 0.13% ash content, 91.29% sulfur content, 4.54% fixed carbon and 6209.1787 cal/gr calorific value.
